Sports Traider are running the London Marathon!
On 2 October, Sports Traider will be running 26.2 miles to raise money to support some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK.
Sports Traider was founded to do just that; ensure the most vulnerable in our society have an equal opportunity. From mental health support to physical activity provisions, Sports Traider ensure that every corner of the country is covered through its network of loyal and dedicated staff and volunteers.
One of these volunteers is Shareen Qureshi; founder of Sports Tech Global, who has put her hand up, or in this case hijab (we will get to that..!), to run the gruelling London course.
Has championed equality for years. For this marathon, she wants to shine. Shareen will be Jazzing her Hijab, an idea to break the stigma on the hijab but also in a fun and
intriguing way for sponsors. Shareen is offering the opportunity of sponsors to add their designs to her hijab! We have all seen football kits with big, bold sponsors, but a hijab?! This, as with all of Sports Traider’s work, is truly game changing.
Our Aim
Sports Traider is seeking to raise £26,200 – £1,000 for every painful mile that Shareen is boldly running for the charity. This will go towards:
– Creating a new project to support the young people through their transitional years in a world which is creating immensely tough mental health issues on our futures.
-It will provide our children and young people sports equipment to remove the financial burden to be able to participate in physical activity.
– It will give our children and young people a hope for the future.

This will be the third successive year that the London Marathon will be held in October
