Sports charities are a great way to promote physical activity and healthy living, while also giving back to the community. One important aspect of many sports charities is the involvement of volunteers, including Sports Traider volunteers.

Sports Traider is a UK-based sports charity that works to provide disadvantaged children with access to sports equipment and opportunities. Sports Traider volunteers are individuals who donate their time and skills to support the charity’s mission.

There are a variety of roles that Sports Traider volunteers can take on, depending on their skills and interests. Some examples include:

  • Sorting and organizing donated sports equipment: Sports Traider relies on donated equipment to provide to children in need. Volunteers can help by sorting and organizing these donations to ensure they are in good condition and ready for distribution.
  • Assisting with events: Sports Traider organizes a variety of events throughout the year, including charity runs, auctions, and sports tournaments. Volunteers can help with tasks such as registration, set-up, and clean-up.
  • Fundraising: Sports Traider relies on donations and fundraising efforts to support its mission. Volunteers can help by organizing their own fundraising events, or by participating in existing events such as charity walks or runs.
  • Outreach and awareness: Volunteers can help spread the word about Sports Traider and its mission by reaching out to local schools and community organizations, distributing flyers and brochures, and sharing information on social media.

Overall, Sports Traider volunteers play a vital role in helping the charity achieve its goals and make a positive impact on the lives of disadvantaged children. If you’re interested in getting involved, you can visit the Sports Traider website to learn more and find opportunities to volunteer.

Where our money goes

Sports Traider

Sports Traider is a charitable project focused on addressing critical issues affecting vulnerable individuals, especially youth. We create opportunities for underrepresented groups and support those in lower socio-economic backgrounds. Donations are channeled into effective sports-based programs, aiding young people dealing with challenges like self-harm, abuse, and mental health issues.

Our initiatives, like Jump4Health, utilize sports like skipping, jogging, and cycling for mental well-being. Skipping, in particular, triggers the release of endorphins, offering an effective exercise accessible anywhere. Through our sessions, we not only provide support but also raise awareness about grooming, spiking, stalking, and trafficking.

We encourage young people to choose skipping ropes over harmful alternatives, recognizing that they are the future. We also collect unwanted sportswear and equipment, extending their life and reducing landfill waste. Together, we build a brighter, healthier future for our youth and our environment.
